2026: The Year of the Sculptural Home

Happy New Year, from my home to yours!

As we look forward to 2026, the global design conversation is shifting. We are seeing tastemakers and visionaries move away from "decorated" rooms toward "curated" ones.

The trend for the coming year isn't a color or a pattern—it is Sculptural Presence.

It’s the idea that a home should feel like a slow, intentional collection of forms that command attention through their silhouette and soul, rather than their shine. Here is how I see vessels defining the interior landscape in 2026.

The vessel as ARCHITECTURE in 2026

We are moving beyond the "accent piece." Instead, I see vessels being used as architectural anchors—large-scale pots placed in entryways or atop minimalist plinths.

It’s about the "tension" between a modern, clean line and a rugged, centuries-old ceramic form.

EARTH as the primary palette

My forecast for the coming year is deeply rooted in nature. I am leaning into tonal layering—think limewash walls, oak floors, and terracotta vessels in varying shades of ochre and umber.

A celebration of the monochromatic, where texture does all the talking.

The “Vignette” is the New Gallery

Instead of scattered decor, 2026 is about the "power of the cluster." I’m seeing designers group vessels of different heights and origins to create a sense of history and dimension.

It’s about the "collected" look—making a corner of a home feel like it was gathered over a lifetime of travels and experiences.

At Maison Luna, I have curate this collection specifically for this purpose: to act as the "soul" of a room. These are the pieces that bridge the gap between a house that is simply furnished and a home that is deeply felt.

How are you planning to ground your space this year?

With an eye toward the future,
